Default Cheap and easy battery elevator!

So I too had to replace my battery recently and like most I found it a PITA to remove the battery because of its weight , location and no strap!. So while I had the battery out I decided to fix it once and for all.
I started by cutting a 1.5” diameter hole in the center of the floor of the battery box with a whole saw.
Then I cut a .125 thick stainless plate to fit in the bottom of the box with about 1” of clearance on the sides.
I centered it in the bottom box and traced around the hole id cut.
I took it out flipped it over and welded a 1” long , ½-13, flush head, cap screw in the center of my marked location.
I got a 10” long piece of steel tube (I think it was about 1-1/8?) and welded a ½-13 nut into the end.
When you need to pull the battery you just disconnect the cables, screw the tube onto the bottom of the plate in the battery box and put your floor jack under the tube and jack it up and out of the hole.

If anyone is interested I’ll take some pics
