It is the safest and best way you can do - maybe even then you will have to change small things...depends at the person which makes the registry...like headlights, colour of turning signal and so on. By the way this ERA is a great car :-)
The next best solution will be to buy a car which was registered in the European Union but of course it will be a lot more expensive and the market here is a lot smaller.
