I'm not sure, but I think thr 555r replaced the 555. The 555r is a dot competition drag radial, but Nitto told me it will take the turns fine as well but it's definitely not an autocross tire. Nitto also makes the 555rII for a competition road track tire. There is absolutely no comparison between a Goodyear F1 and a 555r.
