Tim, From everything I read the 555R is a stellar tire but the problem with them is mileage. From the multiple posts about the F1 vs 555r the 555r seems to win every time, however, the tire life goes from 3000 mile lifetime to 12000 mi. I just can't do that.

The 555r is rated at a 100 for tire life where as the 555 is rated at a 300.(3 times the life) So...how about the 555 (non r) which shows as a performance street tire as apposed to a comp tire.

I would go for the 555 if it's as good but not necessarily better than the Goodyear F1.
