The 555r is rated at a 100 for tire life where as the 555 is rated at a 300.(3 times the life) So...how about the 555 (non r) which shows as a performance street tire as apposed to a comp tire.
I would go for the 555 if it's as good but not necessarily better than the Goodyear F1.

Look up the Nitto NT05. 200 treadwear. 555R is a drag radial with a sidewall stiffer than most drag radials, but the NT05 will handle much better.
