Bill is right. Mine has the positive toward the outside of the car, which makes it hard to reach. ERA recommends it's installed this way so the cables can reach. If I turned mine around so the positive terminal is closer, both terminals would be facing the front of the car.

But I just noticed it looks like Patrick installed the switch on the negative terminal. Am I right? This would solve the problem as well.
