I don't think you need to worry about the retroifit mentioned above. Just have the PVC set up as pictured. I had a brand new 1965 Galaxie and it only had the PVC on it and was never inspected for smog as they didn't start that up here until 1966. On my Cobra I put the PCV set up as shown for two reasons. One is it relieves pressure that would otherwise blow oil fumes and crud onto your valve covers and the other was it is easy to do. If you con't have a spacer under the carb with the place to hook a hose from the PCV valve which will be in the right hand valve cover, you should have a place in your intake manifold that you can take the plug that is probablu in it and put in a connection to hook the hose to.
