I just read up on that and send a mail to the seller asking about this issue.
But I have to say if it goes through 1 quart / 1k miles that's fine with me. When My BMW M3 engine was settling in, it used around that much and the dealer told me that was within specs. It went down after 4k but I'm still at around 1 quart/2-3k
