This question is important before buying a car. Luckily you should be A OK in NJ with the 1965 registration.
You will not get QQ plates, do not try, it will only open you up for a problem that may require you to enter the full NJ process (which you do not want to get involved with). Simply walk in with your title and let them guide the way.
