I rode in a 260 Cobra with a neighbor that had rescued it from a flood in Central Texas back in '85 or '86. It had also been fitted with a 289 and Webbers early in its life. Pretty amazing little car! I remember thinking that, up to that point in time, I'd ridden a lot of motorcycles that weren't as quick as that car. Outside of a big-bore air-cooled Porsche engine with Webbers on it, I'd never heard anything that sounded as good, much less better. NOTHING I had heard before sounded as good as being in that car with the Webbers wide open in front and the duals with glass-packs out back mixing together with equal volume. It's an awesome sound. and I always think of that sound when I see a Cobra of any stripe.
I wonder if the wife will let me park my ffr in the living room...
P.S. - If I had the money, I'd try to buy it.
