Sounds like she was a wonderful person with a very positive outlook on life despite her illness. Her time was short but special.
I lost my beloved mother earlier this year and the pain of loss gradually gave way to pride in all she did for others and happiness that she lived her life following what she believed was her calling.
From what we've read about your Wendy, I'm sure you will soon find yourself feeling proud of her courage and happy that she was able to chase her dreams.
