I've wondered if aerodynamically the
oil cooler wouldn't have been better mounted in front of the radiator on race cars with the lower duct opening left open or ducted to brakes, etc. I wouldn't think on a track car that didn't spend any appreciable time lugging around at low speeds, that it would cause any cooling problems. I could be wrong.
This is an interesting project. Very entertaining to follow.
