Once again guys, thanks for the comments.
Thor: Yes the front is Mustang II but modified. Tubular upper and lower control arms, coil over suspension, MGB sway bar and I triangulated the upper shock mounts (see pics):
One long bar running from top shock mount to top shock mount, and two shorter bars running down at an angle to the frame/crossmember centerline just in front of the lower pulley.
All bars with rod ends and RH/LH threads for easy adjustment if needed.
The rear axle is a Lincoln Versailles detroit locker disc brake 9" with a 21" forward arms at the outer ends going forward to the frame and one 10" link from the top of the pumpkin forward to the upper frame member and of course a panhard bar. Coil overs and a sway bar finish it off.
Paul. Yeah, the doors, trunk lid and hood do not fit well. Got the doors semi OK after a lot of work, but not good enough yet. Another day. The trunk is so so.
But the hood fit is not good any where. perimeter profile, contour, edge thickness. Badly warped (about 3/8'' up) at the back edge in front of the driver where it curves and goes forward. Don't know what to do yet. Might have to try heat lamping it? Slitting it, bending it, re-glassing and recontouring it?
New hood? I might try contacting Dave at FFR and sending him a paper template to see if his MK 4 hood would work.
More work.
Cheers
Greg
