I would agree that is super romantic... as long as your fiance doesn't get hit in the head by the falling boot! (Not to complain, but I do think pilots have an "unfair" advantage in the romance department...)
That aside, what a story and what a life he had. Shelby was the original (and real) world's most interesting man.
He knew how to live life, and did just that. Rest In Peace, Carroll Shelby.
