If you "rotate" the order around the cap a little bit it helps some on the 7 and 8 problem because the wires aren't tracking next to one another as much. You know it doesn't matter where the #1 plug actually is on the cap, provided you have the distributor in properly for it so that the overall timing is right. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then forget this post and just put wires in the location and order as stock from the factory.
