Buddyg is right on. As he defined what he wanted for his money, the Cobra is a good choice.

The original is now a collectable and may be well worth the money. A historic and iconic automobile and a legend.

There is little doubt that there are replicas that by any measure are better performers than the originals.

If you want attention they will get it, people just love them.

I certainly enjoy mine, but I drive it at times and places where there is no one to notice it or me.

But if you define a ultimate ride as a high performance car that can brake and accelerate and handle and reach and sustain high speeds, there are dozens of production cars for the same money (including some American cars) that can go around Nurburgring much faster.

It is what it is.
