Just wondering....what exactly are Derrington 'Nassau' headers?
I know they were standard equipment on AC Le Mans Coupes (Cobras) and Le Mans Coupe Replicas in 1963.
The headers were made by Belanger, but I don't know what was special or different about them. I'm assuming that 'Belanger' was the Belanger from Arizona that developed the 'tri-Y' headers.
Did the 'Derrington' name come from Vic Derrington in England, who did some work on cross-flow cylinder heads (TVR had Derrington cross flow heads on their 1622 [MG?] Le Mans entered cars in 1962), and where does Nassau come into the picture?
So we have AC (English) entered Cobra Le mans Coupes, with Belanger (US) manufactured Derrington (back to English, maybe?) Nassau (Bahamas) headers.
Is there a story there?
