On my car the two shoulder belts are the Y format. So one belt disappears through a slot in the bulkhead to the rear. Remove a rear wheel and then you can see how it terminates with a sewn-on mounting that is bolted through a cross member. Obvious if you look at it. The cockpit and the trunk are separated by a few inches and that is where the cross member is. If your code will not permit the Y configuration then I think it will be somewhat tougher job. I would email Dennis Olthoff at Olthoff Racing with the question and then ask him to ship the pieces you need. I have cam locks now. I rather miss the old style to be honest. It had character.

The front strap bolts to a cross member of frame and the read seat straps clip to eye bolts mounted to frame.
