1969 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 with 8,531 miles from Larry Brown estate stored in garage for 40 years to be sold at auction - Autoweek
has the story. It looks very mint in the pictures though back East it's possible for a car to rust even inside a barn if the condensation gets to it every night --I used to live in a Rust Bowl state.
What I am curious about is --how did the famlly come to fhink of auctioning it? Also I would think the Scottsdale auctions like Gooding or maybe RM at Monterey would be a better place, than the venue they are choosing.
Maybe the car didn't get discovered by a Shelby buff earlier because he hardly ever took it out of the garage.
Anybody know more than is in the story?
I should call myself "Always looking" though all I found lately was a Lincoln Continental Mk/ II (which I didn't buy, not knowing the current valuations...)
