There are numerous Kirkhams with EFI fitted, so it would be surprising if everyone didn't have the same issue.
Not as a recommendation, but my M800 Motec Cobra had an elcheapo waterproof momentary push button like this -
Large Waterproof Pushbutton Momentary SPST Switch- Jaycar Electronics
It worked perfectly and cost less than a cup of coffee!
