Cobra Make, Engine: Enjoyed CSX 2306 as a daily driver and weekend toy. Hooked my brother Jim on Cobras. Sold it to Ned in the spring of 1972.

Default Hoo boy!! get a life!!!

Fewer than 900 individuals now own one or more AC-Shelby-Ford Cobras built in the 1960's. Perhaps 5-10,000 individuals (?) own a continuation / replica / kit Cobra. The original cars were wonderful, glorious junk! Yes, I really said that, and I have credentials to back up the comment. The continuations / replicas / kits are also wonderful glorious junk, some unsafe at any speed and others faster, better handling, and better braking than the 60's CSX cars. Why can't everyone who likes these cars just enjoy them regardless of who put them together and when!? The market value of the originals is obscene, but some owners drive them on the open road with the same abandon that the owners of the recreations can embrace. This thread needs to be relegated to the scrap heap of juvenile pettiness. Go have fun with your one ton beast with a great thumping V8 in it. Pretend you are driving in the 1964 Targa Florio when you are on your local twisties. Go on a road tour with fellow Cobraphiles and forget this snobby silliness. The work that Ned and others at SAAC have done to document the histories of the 60's cars is wonderful, glorious and definitely not junk. Don't knock it!
