So, I put a quart of oil in and it went way above the top mark. It appears that for this dip stick, the amount of oil that is required to fill between the two marks is about 1/2 quart of oil.

We should never assume anything with our cars and expect that standard does not apply. Go through the rest of the car carefully.

I was told it holds 11qts? 7 pan, 3qt Accusump plus lines and cooler. Today I drained the pan, turned on the Accusump and drained, Removed the filter. I then filled a filter and turned off the accusump. I filled up 7Qts then ran the car for 3-4min. Checked oil and added another 2. The oil level is now where it was before I started.???? I only have 9qts in it though.. What I think I'm going to do is drive the car so I can make sure the lines and filter are full. Call Canton and ask how much should be in the pan only. Then drain the pan only and refill with that amount of oil. Mark a NEW dipstick and hope that is where it should be.
