I have gone through 3 power steering pumps (very limited track work).

I fixed it with the following,

1. BA Ford turbo pump (NKR brand I think ) with the LS series pulley, from a bloke in Coburg.
2. Power steering cooler.
3. 25% reduction crank pulley.
4. High temp power steering fluid.

Been fixed for years since....
