Still no cobra in my shed but still looking.

Looking at some for sale at the moment, are they any guys in Canberra that could help me on this question? Im looking at a nearly finished car that already has been regod which makes it attractive. When I bring it into the ACT can I just take it to a servo like a normal roadworthy inspection or do I have to suffer a load of engineering stuff etc?also, It also has live side pipes, can you get them through rego here?
