And the original Cobra did not come with a Shelby 468ci engine either, among other Kirkham bits, say like the billet aluminum suspension, trunk-mounted battery and Wilwood brakes. Paint it, don't paint it, but I'd personally wouldn't base my decision on what is or isn't original, because you own a Kirkham, not a CSX3000.

FWIW, a brushed finish is a more staid unpainted look, if the polished aluminum is too flashy or bold for you. If you do decide to paint it, paint it any color but beige.
