On GT/104, any opinions on whether it should have had needle nose?
I am a purist as far as cars looking like they did when raced; and I think it is a pity that none of the 1954 Ford GTs have had the original needle nose (my nickname) or duckbill platypus shaped noses put on, instead they go with later noses more like Mk. I. I realize that 104 raced in 1964 and was unsuccessful so they wanted to go with the Shelby converted nose, in which it was more successful but now there's no representative of how the first gen Ford GT cars looked. Kind of like P51 Mustangs. The later ones had the bubble top but the early ones had a more cumbersome canopy and I wonder if any who have the early chassis/airframe would go back to the original look because, damn, the second gen sure looks better
