If you change rockers you'll need to re check your pushrod lengths again, unfortunately there is NO standard geometry. I found it better to have a small width for the witness mark than to have a large wider mark more centered on the valve tip. There is a compromise, you certainly don't want the marks on the extreme outer edges of the valve tip.
