best is vulcanizing under pressure and temperatur. At home not so easy.
Weatherstrips today are made of EPDM. There are not so many self vulcanizing products for this Polymer, so...

best at home is the cyancrylate glue ( fast glue / superglue?). Not 100 % waterresistance, but for our use in an cobra almost OK
