Yup. When i had my engine in a run-stand, before i got the car, i was using an old junkyard radiator with a spal fan. Can't remember which one. That fan couldn't begin to cool the engine. When i switched to the Taurus fan, the difference was miraculous. Which is why i think it'd work wonders in the kirkham. I like rodney's idea though... I'm so ready to be done fussing with that car!
