Rick...we have huge grasshoppers in the Midwest where I live. I spent a similar amount of time that you did extracting grasshoppers/butterflies and large bugs of indeterminate origin from the radiator and
oil cooler and then straightening radiator fins. Then I bought one of these radiator guards, painted it black, and trimmed it to fit the radiator and
oil cooler. It's a press fit in both locations. You can easily remove the guards and hose the bugs out from the back side. The guards can be easily removed in less than 5 minutes for car shows, etc. No more bent fins!
