I can only tell my experience with my Backdraft. After about the first thousand miles, mine started to bottom out. I did adjust the rear ride height but it still would bottom out. I called the parts man at Custom Cars and he recommended the KYB shocks. I installed the new shocks and the bottoming out stopped. Upon inspection of the Gabriel shocks, one was completely dry and useless. This was after less than 2500 miles! That certainly does not make the Gabriel's that came with the car look very good to me. The KYB's solved the problem and were not very expensive.
