I have had a Center Oiler in my Cobra for well over 10 years now and have found that the Oil Cooler is more for hard racing than street driving although many have an oil cooler I doubt if all are actually hooked up. I live in Tulsa and we have some pretty warm summers like you and my oil will stay below 200 in the summer with the oil cooler. You really need your oil to run a bit hotter maybe 220 or so. Mine is usually unhooked unless I am running on the track in summer. By the way the one that Finishline sells works quite well but let me warn you, the cooler is less than $200 but your #12 braided lines and fittings will run you close to $350 or so.
