Geof I'm a bit confused here.

Wheels are usually referred to as LF RF LR and RR. The passenger's side front wheel would be LF but have you actually mounted the battery in front of the footwell where your sidepipes would normally sit or have you cut into the front of the footwell a little to accommodate the battery? You're not worried about heat from the pipes affecting the battery down there? No clearance problems on full left lock?

Any chance of a photo?
