An engineer friend of mine helped me to remove the broken bushing from the firewall (you have to disconnect the steering shaft, not an easy job). He had a local machine shop machine a new bushing from Nylon (Delryn I think). It replaced the old one perfectly. I had two pcs made and would sell the spare part if you are interested. I had the part made since I was told no one makes or sells this part for MKIV's. LC
