I am late to this thread. Sorry for your loss.
I am working on a SB kit right now also and I have been using the Okie guys for great help. I have had the car about 2.5 years and am getting close to completion. My issue right now is getting a MCO/MSO so I can title the car in Texas. The guy I bought it from did not have his paperwork from SB. The kit was very complete, but missing a couple things here and there.
A couple things:
The coil overs that came with the kit are not long enough and will not work (at least mine were). I order some new 1s
The doors are going to be an issue for sure and my tube was warped from sitting so long in the Texas heat.
Electrical will be easy with a standard GM harness
I would upgrade the stock 4 link with new bushings.
Thats all i can think of right now.
