They are pretty easy to make, you just need to heat, bend, weld and machine some aluminium. What's made mine so difficult is I made an exact replica of the real thing (size for size) and now I have to modify the mechanism to have the shift pattern fit.

If you make one to match your existing pattern it should be fairly straightforward. If all else fails that's what I'll do with this one.
