Perfectly understandable. Most Cobra owners that I know would not let you drive their car. I let my brother drive mine and he almost killed us (and he is a 911 owner).
One thing though, if you're unusually tall, short, fat, long-legged, short legged, etc., you'll want to deal with that up front on the build.
