It's probably not the most flattering of nicknames, but I don't think Leaf-spring Cobra is specific enough to cut it either. "Slabside" differentiates further within the leaf-spring Cobra category between the flat-sided body/wheel openings and the flared FIA/USRRC, etc. Cobras. Maybe "289 street" or "289 roadster" might be easier on the ears.
