Default Mind numb about suspensions

Hi guy's
I'm doing the investigative work on how I want to proceed with my 1989 vintage Paul Bennett Cobra. Not a hole drilled in her yet, Anyone got one? No not a hole, a Bennett.
I've got an 84 jag XJS rear with the required shortened axials and arms that is going in.
I am looking at the Fast cars IFS instead of putting my MG suspension in.
Here is my question: I have not done the math or called them due to mind numbness.
Fast cars makes a 2 inch wider version of there IFS unit. would there be an advantage to this wider version on my car?

I know this is kind of an "own opinion" kind of thing, but the Fast cars IFS seams to be the best bolt in kind of option out there. Ya the 3,850 + is a lot but the outcome is what I am most concerned with, but the investment dollar of having it when and if I ever sell it would also be there.
Opinions and comments please.
Thanks Shelby Dave
