If you choose to have a second roll bar for reasons of occupant safety, make sure that she or he always wears a crash helmet as well. I can recall at least two Cobra accidents in which the passenger was unscathed while the driver died from head trauma. Both were single roll bar cars and both spun out contacting an immovable object, which is by far the most likely accident one will experience in a Cobra. Unprotected skulls and roll bars do not mix well at all.

Having said that, I agree with all that has been said about the tragic loss of life, the stupidity of driving a Cobra drunk and the appalling callousness of the driver.
