I talked to Mr. Parham today about options for my dad's 427. First of all, Bill is a straight shooter, he took about twenty minutes on the phone to educate me on the history of the 427, and common myths and also facts about FE's. I believe Bill charges a fair amount for his products, but he backs them up, and makes sure that they are running right, if not, he will fix it. My dad and I debated for a while whether or not to go with the Aluminum or Iron, we decided to go with the Iron as the benefits did not outweigh the $4000 difference. Our motor will still be pretty light though. He gave us an estimate of 490 pounds for an iron block, with aluminum heads, intake, water pump, pulleys, and flywheel. It will be a screamer regardless.
