My shop offers a concours reproduction of the Shelby American Inc fabricated locking ring that was used 289 competition Cobras and Daytona Coupes. After the ring is installed you can utilize a padlock to deter people from tampering with your fuel cap, just as SAI originally had done back in period only they were trying to prevent from being sabotaged.
