I'm on my second Mustang GT and curious about the
oil pressure gage in newer cars. They never show any variation in pressure between cold and hot, low and high rpm. If I believed that they would have to be some sort of constant flow/pressure pump.
How do these things work? I'm suspicious they have a threshold down around 10 psi and anything above that they read at mid-scale without any variation. Basically no better than an old idiot light.
Am I right?
