Default Install tips

Here's one tip for you. Check the screw length on all screws that go anywhere near the glass. On my CR, I have a small crack that goes diagonal from near where the top screw on the driver side piece goes into the frame up to the top of the glass. I haven't taken it apart for a direct visual, but I'd bet the screw extends just a bit inside the frame and "touched" the glass. It doesn't take much to start a crack.

Given the crack went diagonally up to the upper glass edge instead of horizontally across the windshield, I have chosen to leave it all alone. I think the crack appeared 10 years ago and I should fix it but it's one of those things that's low priority.

When I do get around to replacing the glass, I'm going to check the length of every screw very closely.
