Default Tie rod location on spindles of superformance

There are two holes at the spindle where the tie rod attaches from the steering rack. Currently, the tie rod is located in the position furthest from the center line of the spindle. Is anybody using or have used the alternate location in which the tie rod is located at the hole closest to the center line of the spindle? If so, what is your impression? Cons to me it would appear to require more effort turning the wheel at low speeds, possibility of tire rubbing frame, etc. Pros to me would be quicker steering, tighter turning radius. Thank you!!
