It happens all the time, especially where I live in the LA / SoCal area.
A friend of mine's wife has been carjacked twice. Once in her BMW while literally sitting at a stoplight (car never recovered), and again with her new Range Rover while getting gas.
We both tell our wives that when something like that happens, just give them the car,
don't get in the car and walk away. After all, they are just cars.
Now if it was me in the Cobra, I would do the same thing and just watch him drive off and tell him "good luck pal, it's all yours", then watch the news for car wrecks and/or high speed chases!
