That's correct....an accurate replica is more than just the body shape, but an accurate body is the essential starting point. What the 'tyre-kicker' can see on a walk-around is important.
AP's FIA body is impressively accurate according to their measurements and compared with their FIA reference data. Even then, it is being modified in a number of areas.
The interior - and most of this information is in the build thread - will be configured for RHD and will have a drop-centre dash. This is consistent with the interior layout of COB6008, a Cobra that was supplied ex-factory with FIA rear hips.
The chassis is a lightly modified AP427 chassis. The wheelbase is accurate
Nothing else in the chassis bears any resemblance to the original CSX2xxx cars
