Perhaps, but sometimes the problems are with the owner, not the vehicle. The gentlemen I purchased mine from had mobility issues that impaired his ability to get into and out of the car - he had both hips replaced. His mobility was not completely impaired but but this definitely slowed him down or perhaps took some of the fun out of it. He had owned the car for 10 years and invested in some upgrades / maintenance during that time.
I'll probably never know which were the deciding factors in putting the car up for sale, but possibilities include: a) his advancing years; b) limited mobility; c) desire to avoid significant investments in upgrades; d) he was getting tired of it after 10 years; e) inability to enjoy the car due to other commitments; f) something else; or g) all of the above.
These cars go up for sale for a variety of reasons - it would be risky to assume those are primarily due to something wrong with the car.
