It seems odd they would have to move it that far back to achieve 50/50 weight distribution - I think most Cobra replicas have less than 50% on the front wheels, especially if they are using the heavy Jag rear end which I believe they did. But - I think a lot of them also used BB Chevy engines which are not particularly light, especially with iron heads. Maybe it was to compensate for that weight.
