Those trucks with alloy wheels have 8 or more wheel studs and they are on a much larger pcd than most car applications! Not only the weight but also the wheel offsets involved in some truck applications would grossly overload a knock off / pin drive setup.
The only vehicle I can think of that even approaches what you suggest was the UK Ford Transit Supervan which was a publicity stunt of essentially dropping a van body over GT40 mechanicals, don't think there was anything of the Transit running gear used and I don't think it ever hauled much payload!!
